Hear Immanuel's Bells on January 15!

This Sunday, January 15th, the Rt. Rev. Shannon Johnston, Bishop of Virginia, will be with us at the 10:30 Eucharist in Immanuel Chapel to preach, celebrate, and receive members of the parish into the Episcopal Church. He will also lead a forum, beginning at 9:15 in the Parish Hall at Zabriskie Chapel, including time for questions and answers about the life of the Diocese.
The Immanuel Guild of Bell Ringers will be ringing for the Bishop's visit Sunday. From 9:30-10:30 a.m. the Quarter Peal attempt will be rung by Ringers from National Cathedral who are also members of our Immanuel Guild. After the service's conclusion until about 12:30 p.m., several Ringers, including Immanuel parishioners, will be ringing rounds and call changes. Bell ringers from the parish are: Rick Glassco, Sarah Glassco, Karen Besser, Martha Byron, and Candy Levin.
[Are you interested in becoming a bell ringer? Feel free to talk to Candy Levin or contact the Immanuel Guild's Tower Captain, Rob Gibson, at  rgibson@alum.mit.edu].
There will be a festive reception in the Welcome Center following the 10:30 Eucharist. Please come to share in this time with our Bishop, and to celebrate this important occasion in ongoing celebration of our 75th anniversary.
